Choose the right change
Read the package role and the test that distinguishes it from a normal launch.
Choose a specific experiment before considering a cheat suite. The author lists castle auto-shoot, UI toggling, invincibility, infinite lives and perk switches. Several toggles change the premises of survival and progression, so an ordinary build cannot be judged from a run with those settings active.
The dependency mismatch matters
The Thunderstore listing prefers BepInExPack IL2CPP 6.0.733, while its README asks for a recent bleeding-edge build. Recent Almanac and speed plugins specify 755 or newer. These are separate instructions from different release periods; combining them does not prove this old plugin works with the current game.
Before attempting a current setup, look for an author compatibility statement or an updated release. The latest GitHub release found during this check is v1.0.0 from 6 June 2025. This page does not resolve the dependency mismatch by inventing a tested version.
Inspect changes one at a time
If you already have a working experimental setup, record which option is enabled before comparing a result. Returning the interface to view is a different test from disabling invincibility. A configuration file existing only proves that a file was generated, not that each feature works.
Restore a normal comparison
Close the game, disable this package in its manager profile or move its identified plugin folder out of active plugins, then relaunch. A fresh run without the cheat suite is the useful baseline. Preserve a pre-experiment save if you need to compare saved progression.

Check the required setup
Package version, loader build and game patch are separate values.

A reversible first test
Follow the author procedure, verify one feature and preserve the ordinary baseline.
Resolve compatibility before installing
Read the author release and loader requirement for your game version. No Patch #31 test is documented here.
Partially verifiedRecognize the historical instructions
The README places the extracted 9KCheatMode folder under BepInEx/plugins and launches once to create configuration. This is historical procedure, not confirmation on the current patch.
Partially verifiedVerify one toggle only
If using an already working experimental setup, confirm one setting and its actual effect before enabling others. Preserve an ordinary fresh-run comparison.
Partially verifiedRemove the cheat plugin
Close the game and disable the package in its manager profile, or move its identified plugin folder outside active plugins. Relaunch without it before checking normal survival.

Common questions
Use the stated evidence boundary when deciding whether to install.
Can modified survival prove a normal build works?
No. Invincibility and infinite lives remove conditions the normal build has to satisfy.
Partially verifiedDoes this site recommend an exact loader version for Patch #31?
Report a reproducible issue
Send software problems to the original author with the exact versions and a short reproduction.
